What are the main benefits of installing a Ride Engine PWC Collar?

Ride Engine PWC Collars dramatically improve ride comfort and stability while reducing bow spray and rider fatigue. They also add impact protection for both riders and the watercraft, increase flotation, and create a more stable platform for fishing, rescue work, tow foiling, and rental operations.

Will the collar affect the handling of my PWC?

Yes, in a very positive way. The collar helps absorb chop and adds stability, especially at low speed and in rough water. The watercraft still keeps its agility and playful handling characteristics while feeling more planted and predictable.

Does the collar reduce bow spray?

Absolutely. Reduced bow spray is one of the first things customers notice after installation.

Is the collar custom fitted to my model?

Yes. Every Ride Engine Collar is specifically designed around the exact dimensions of your PWC model for a precise fit and clean integration with the hull shape.

What materials are used?

Our collars are built using heavy-duty UV-resistant 1.2 mm PVC with welded construction and reinforced wear zones. Pro models also include a traction top layer for additional UV protection, puncture resistance, and improved footing.

Can I still trailer or double trailer my PWC with the collar installed?

Yes. The collar is fully compatible with trailering. If you are transporting your PWC on a double trailer or in a very tight side-by-side setup, the collars will need to be deflated beforehand to provide proper clearance between the units during transport. Our Air Box Mini pump inflates collars in less than 60 seconds.

How long does installation take?

A first-time installation usually takes about 3 to 4 hours with basic tools and ideally a second person to help position the collar.

Can the collar be removed later?

Yes. One of the great advantages of the Ride Engine Collar system is that the installation replaces the OEM front bumper and side rails of your PWC. Those original parts can simply be stored away and reinstalled later if you decide to remove the collar.

This allows you to bring the unit back very close to its original stock appearance when it comes time to trade in or sell your PWC, while also hiding the collar mounting hardware behind the OEM rails and bumper components.

Does the collar replace a bilge pump?

In some ways, yes. While the Ride Engine Collar is not an active bilge pump system, it provides an additional level of flotation and safety that can become even more valuable in situations where a bilge pump may no longer be effective.

In the event of major hull damage or catastrophic flooding, a traditional bilge pump may not be able to keep up with the volume of incoming water. In those situations, the inflatable collar helps keep the PWC afloat, level, and more stable, even with passengers onboard. This added flotation can provide valuable time for riders to return safely to shore or await assistance.

What pressure should the collar be inflated to?

Most customers run the collar around 3.5 to 5 PSI depending on temperature and riding conditions. The Pro Collar Plus also includes a blow-off valve system for additional pressure protection.

How long does shipping take?

We keep some of our most popular Yamaha and Sea-Doo models in inventory for quicker turnaround times. If your specific model is not currently in stock, typical production time is about 3 to 4 weeks depending on the model and time of year.

Once completed, shipping generally takes around 10 to 12 business days door-to-door worldwide.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship Ride Engine Collars worldwide and work with customers across North America, Europe, Australia, South America, Hawaii, and many offshore markets.

Are collars good for fishing applications?

Yes. Anglers especially appreciate the increased side stability when stationary offshore, the softer ride in chop, and the additional protection while moving around the ski with lots of heavy gear onboard.
